About
Welcome to the Glen Waverley Secondary College Eco-Committee PODCAST website.
What is the GWSC Eco-committee?
The GWSC eco-committee is a student-run eco-committee (or environment club) committed to making our school more environmentally sustainable. All students are welcome to attend our meetings at T1 on Wednesdays at lunchtime and all meetings are democratic – anyone is allowed to contribute.
The Eco-committee’s main website is located at: http://gwscecocommittee.wordpress.com
What is a podcast?
A podcast is a pre-recorded radio show that is posted on the internets (no points for guessing who that came from
) and can be automatically downloaded to a person’s computer through programs like iTunes, Juice or Amarok (good for linux) by simply suscribing to the podcast’s feed.
What is this podcast?
This is the MP3 version of the GWSC Eco-Committee’s weekly podcast. As one of our main principles is democracy, we aim to make information open and accessible for everyone.
Eco-committee meetings at school mostly discuss how to make the school more environmentally friendly, so on this podcast we will also discuss environmental issues outside of the school, including environmental issues in the news. We’ll also be recapping all the things we have discussed in our previous meeting so if you happened to miss a meeting or want to know what we talk about or both, or just want to know what’s happening in the school then listen to this show (That doesn’t mean you should just listen to this show and not turn up at meetings… if you want your voice heard, show up at the meetings if you can because every voice counts.)
How do I suscribe?
Simply copy and paste our feed into a program like iTunes, Juice or Amarok.
